Ask Claude what they actually said

The MentionsHero MCP server connects Claude, and any other MCP client, to every transcript in the archive. Search quotes, count mentions over time and compare speakers, with a link back to the source for every answer.

Connect

Claude on the web and desktop

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it MentionsHero, paste the server URL and save.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors.

Claude Code

Run once in a terminal. The server is then available in every session.

claude mcp add --transport http mentionshero https://mentionshero.com/api/mcp

Other MCP clients

Clients that take a JSON config, such as Cursor's mcp.json, need only the URL. The transport is Streamable HTTP.

Claude API

The MCP connector lets Claude call the tools inside one API request. Python SDK shown.

What you can ask

  • When did Trump first say “Greenland” in a speech?
  • In how many of Trump's March 2026 appearances did he mention oil?
  • Compare how often JD Vance and Marco Rubio say “China”.
  • Find every time Pete Hegseth talked about drug boats, with quotes.
  • How often does Trump say “AI / Artificial Intelligence”, month by month?

How counting works

  • A mention is the whole word, its plural or its possessive: tariff finds tariffs, not tariffed.
  • A phrase also matches its joined and hyphenated forms: shut down finds shutdown.
  • An acronym typed in capitals matches only in capitals, so ICE does not match ice.
  • Separate alternatives with a slash, the way Kalshi words its mention markets: AI / Artificial Intelligence.
  • With a speaker set, only that person's own words count. A reporter's question that contains the word does not.
  • Dates are the YouTube upload date, which can be the day after the event.
  • The counts are the same as on the transcript pages: one matcher serves both.

Questions

Is the MentionsHero MCP server free?
Yes. It is free and anonymous: no account and no API key. It serves the same transcripts as this website, read-only.
Which apps can use it?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP. That includes Claude Code, Claude on the web and desktop (as a custom connector), the Claude API's MCP connector, and editors such as Cursor.
How are mentions counted?
A mention is the whole word or its plural or possessive form, so “tariff” also finds “tariffs”. An acronym typed in capitals, such as “ICE”, only matches in capitals. With a speaker set, only that person's own words count, not a reporter's question. These are the same rules the transcript pages use.
Does a zero mean the person never said it?
No. It means the word is not in this archive. The archive holds the transcripts we have published, not every appearance a person has made.
Are there usage limits?
Each client can make 60 requests a minute. Normal use by an assistant stays well below that.
