There's never been anything like it, probably in terms of an event, let alone soccer or football, whatever you want to call it. But I thought it was incredible. It was four times greater than any previous MLS and it's probably about five times actually, they're telling me today. So we're very proud of our country, we're very proud of the job that was done by everybody. And we congratulate Argentina and Colombia and all of their fans, the incredible job they did. But it's really one of the greatest events of any kind ever held. So we're really happy that it went so well. And all over the world, people have come and they've loved our country and shown off our country in a different light. And it was a great thing. It was a great event and I'm glad you all enjoyed it.\n\n[00:54] Reporter:\nWhat about the Euro cup?\n\n[00:57] Donald Trump:\nYeah, I watched that. I thought Spain played well. I would say Spain played better, you know, but they both played well. I mean they got to the final. And it was very exciting actually. It looked like Spain dominated but it was a very close match. So it was it was great. It was a great event, yes.\n\n[01:21] Reporter:\nHow about the three?\n\n[01:23] Donald Trump:\nWell, we feel very badly because, you know, those great people, those great patriots were out there fighting that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Iran has been very, very badly damaged. They've lost everything almost, militarily. They've got some missiles, they've got some drones, they've got some manufacturing ability, not much. We control the strait, they don't control anything. So we'll see what happens. But we hit them very hard again tonight and we did that in honor of the probably three, probably three, as opposed to two, great patriots.\n\n[02:00] Reporter:\nAre we going to see any more strikes?\n\n[02:01] Donald Trump:\nWell, we're going to see. We'll be speaking with them.\n\n[02:04] Reporter:\nMr. President, can we talk about the air quality from Canada? Again, yeah, how did you talk to that guy?\n\n[02:11] Donald Trump:\nIt was good, but I told him, I mean, you got to stop the fires from coming in and poisoning our air. Our air is being poisoned. I have a good relationship with Marc Carney, but you know, we got to stop the fires up there. If we can help them, we'll help them, because they've taken a lot of damage too.\n\n[02:30] Reporter:\nWill it take much time for them to fix it?\n\n[02:31] Donald Trump:\nWell, they did take a lot of damage, and some of it was so hard, but it was terrible. I mean, you had businesses closing. In particular Michigan. If you look at Detroit, Detroit, Michigan has had a close everything. They had to close car plants and a lot of other things. So I've never remembered this happening over the last four or five years or so, it started taking place. But I've never remembered it happening before.\n\n[02:56] Reporter:\nHave you spoken to the Spanish Prime Minister?\n\n[02:58] Donald Trump:\nI did, I spoke to Spain and I congratulated them on having a great team. I spoke to a lot of people.\n\n[03:05] Reporter:\nAny plans to meet with them?\n\n[03:07] Donald Trump:\nNo, I have no plan. I have no plans to meet with anybody.\n\n[03:14] Reporter:\nHow much has Iran lost?\n\n[03:15] Donald Trump:\nWell, it has, it has a lot, and you know, it has a lot of capability, but as I understand it, in about a month or so they're going to be, they're having to be maxed out. So they're going to be, they're having to be maxed out. It takes about a month.\n\n[03:36] Reporter:\nDid you talk to Prime Minister Trudeau?\n\n[03:37] Donald Trump:\nI did, while I was in Beijing, I spoke with him. I spoke to him about it. I said you gotta, you gotta get it stopped. It's really forest management. And they should have had a way to do that. If you go back four or five years, I don't remember ever having a problem like this. But we do have that problem.\n\n[03:54] Reporter:\nWhat about stopping them for four or five weeks?\n\n[03:59] Donald Trump:\nWell, you keep hitting them. It's a far bigger job than we're doing. We were doing a little job of stopping them from having a certain capability. Now we're just ending it. So it's really not the same thing. What we're doing now is we're ending any chance where they could have a nuclear mission. And if you look at it after a week and a half, not four weeks, a week and a half, two weeks, we stopped them from probably, but I don't want to have the word probably. Thank you very much. Thank you.","2026-08-29T16:49:21.850667+00:00","85bb1bac-d405-47ed-b438-d6db4cb93a34","President Trump Gaggles with Press at Joint Base Andrews, Jul. 19, 2026","20260720",true,false,null,{"name":15,"slug":16,"image_url":13},"Donald Trump","donald-trump",{"prev":18,"next":21},{"id":19,"name":20},"0bf8d5bf-f091-4c07-8169-3eff99dcae9f","President Trump Gaggles with Press at Joint Base Andrews, Jul. 22, 2026",{"id":22,"name":23},"cf49e435-3e51-468c-83b6-bbd93a633429","President Trump Participates in a Press Conference, Jul. 8, 2026"]
